I’ve said it before and I’m sure to say it again but Tim Walker is pure genius. This shoot he did for Haper’s Bazaar is so amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a photo of his that I don’t love.  Check out the rest of the shoot by clicking the link above – it is magic!!

Today, I am waiting on news that will potentially change my life. So I was asking last week, but especially tomorrow, your thoughts or prayers or whatever would be  very appreciated. Hopefully I will be able to let you know what has been going on with me over the past couple of weeks very, very soon.

I don’t say it enough, but thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings – for those of you who blog yourselves you know how much it means, and for those of you who don’t blog, you’ll never know how much it means until you start your own blog. So seriously, thank you!

Running Through Fields of Hitchikers

Recently, me and my sweet friend Vanessa and I did a little’ol swap-a-roo. I put together a cutie little kit for her including some of my favourite scrappy things. I also made some handmade Sassafras inspired little woodgrain fawns. looove.

Basically, I had the funnest (i know its not a word) putting together the kit – dream job a kit maker. Not a packer per say, but picking the stuff that goes into a kit – that would be so. much. fun.

I also put together a little playlist for her.

I think I had even more fun putting this together than I did putting the kit together. I handpainted the album artwork and then added everything else in photoshop. Aaaah I loove it. I couldn’t wait to share it with all of you, but I needed to wait until V got her package before I could share.

I have listened to this playlist soooo many times. I looove it. And lucky for you here it is!

I hope you like it. I couldn’t get all of the songs, and I made a couple of substitutions/additions. Tell me what song or songs are your favourite. pleeaaaase.

Well I Do Declare

Golly it has been a looong time since I last blogged. Not quite a month, but just about. Ha. Anyways, I’m back (for tonight anyways) with at the very least a few uninteresting things to share with you. I hope however, that some of them will be interesting to you.

First of all, update. (Disclaimer: I feel like most of this will be uninteresting stuff, otherwise I would have blogged  Run for the cure was a couple of weeks ago, our team raised juts over $1000 so yay! I am having a really hard time getting back into the routine of school I’m just not feeling it this year for some reason. I found the most delicious restaurant last week when one of my very best friends came to spend a couple of days with me (ps. she is moving out west and I am going to miss her terribly. for real though). It is called Veg-Out and it is the most delicious vegan restaurant. If you ever come to visit me in London we must go. MUST. (yes, that is an invitation to come and visit me). I scrapped a  simple, fun layout and have had one sitting on my desk for a good two or three weeks just waiting to be finished. Here is said layout: My dear London posted the DT work this week for her lovely buttons, so check that out here. I had a lovely thanksgiving weekend with my family – however i don’t have any pictures since I forgot to take them of the camera.

Speaking of camera’s I need a new one, I really  want a DSLR however I don’t think that is going to be possible right now since I just don’t have the money. So two things:

a- If you have a DSLR that you are trying to sell for a good price hit me up.

b – If you know someone who is selling one or know of a good deal somewhere online link me up.

c- If you have any suggestions of a good, reasonable point and shoot tell me because that is likely what I’m going to have to go with.

Giveaway + A Great Cause

Last year me and my friends participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure. You can read about that here. The run raises money to benefit breast cancer research and you can read all about the run here. The nursing faculty at our school puts together a team every year and this year is no exception. We had such a great time last year and I am super excited to be participating again. Not only do we get to raise money for a great cause, but really, its another excuse to spend time with my friends how awesome is that? Here is where you come in. I am always so floored at the amazing sense of community between members of the blogging/craft world, even moreso with the support that I find from the followers of my blog and my blog bff’s. So naturally, I come to you asking for your assistance with this great cause.

Any amount you can donate will be super appreciated. I set my fundraising goal at $200 and I would be amazed to see that goal blown out of the water. I know it can be done.

To sweeten the pot a little bit I am going to add a little giveaway to this. I am not 100% sure what the giveaway will be, but I can assure you it will be a good one. I am thinking mixtapes, crafty goods, and possibly some etsy love. I will let you know for sure as soon as I know. If you donate (no matter the amount) leave a comment to tell me you donated, and your name will be entered into the drawing for a cutie little prize. Dear Blog,

i have not forgotten about you or your followers. I promise. Its not just you either, I have been neglecting other blogs as well, all of the many, many, blogs that I follow. However I have been super busy which explains my absence from the online world. Getting settled back into the apartment, getting back into the routine of school, working on student’s council things you know, the usual. Anyways, I figure within the next week or so I will be back into the routine of things aka blogging.

Here however, is a small list of the things that have been going on lately that have been keeping me from blogging and a few other things, observations etc. 

- for my first class last week i had to read 39 pages from one book, 128 from another, and two studies in preparation. (love how they just me launch right into it)

- i sent out a fun little package to my sweet friend Vanessa. when i receive confirmation that she has the package in her hands i will share it with you. i had so much fun putting it together and there are a few things i want to share with you.

- i am beginning my duties on student’s council (i am VP social for the nursing faculty at my school) so i am responsible for planning all of the fun events that we put on during the year. it is proving to be a lot of work so far, but most of it is fun work and i’m glad to be involved.

-this boy is so stubborn, cute, mischievous, sweet, fun, etc. and i am loving getting to know him. (he is chillin right beside me as i write this lol)

-i need a haircut desperately. it hasn’t been done since may and its getting just a tad too long. i think i’m gonna keep it on the longer side though, but it needs to be touched up. especially since my head is going to be in the books for the next 8 months, it gets a tad annoying hanging in my eyes.

- i have been listening to a lot of these fellows.

-also, this is one of the loveliest things i’ve ever seen. so WATCH IT!

ok i think that is all for tonight. there’s probably more that i have to share with you but it is escaping me at the moment.

i will be back tomorrow with another post about something pretty special. so check back :)
